There are many people that like to come to Thailand on holiday every year. The outside broadcast are experienced travelers in Thailand. Here is five of our best experiences in Thailand.
- The Beaches
If you’re thinking of a holiday, you often think of Sun, Sand, & cocktails… or something else beach related anyway. Well, Thailand has some of the best beaches in the world. Ko Samui, Koh Phangan, Phuket, take your pick. There’s not much that can be bested about Thailand’s beaches in my opinion, they have golden sand, clear & gentle warm water, and are the perfect place to relax or party depending on taste.
- Bangkok City
Don’t want to relax on your holiday? In that case Thailand has another option for you. Bangkok is one of the worlds mega city’s. A sprawling humid, steaming metropolis located in the Gulf of Thailand. Outstanding food markets, Tiger Prawns to Siam square shopping or getting a tailored suit on the street, what more could you want? Bangkok is a great, big city experience when you first arrive in Thailand. I’d recommend three nights before you hit the beaches down South or head North.
- Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Mae Sai (The North)
The Northern city of Chiang Mai is more relaxed than the Bangkok mega-city in the South. The City’s great food markets attract tourists, its internet cafes attract the digital nomads. It has all the advantages of a big city without Bangkok’s hectic atmosphere.
Or head to Chiang Rai if you want to completely cruise and sit in a hammock for a week. You’ll find a small city with cool mountain air and a relaxed vibe.
The Northern town of Mae Sai is a little off the beaten track but is the Northern gateway to Myanmar if you want a detour off the beaten path.
- Kanchanaburi Region
Come here to see the infamous bridge on the river Kwai in the mid sized town of Kachanaburi, Attractions here include the memorial to POWs in World War Two built the Thai-Burma railway and the Jeath war museum telling their story.
Or travel further West and visit Sangklaburi, a hidden gem, on the Burmese border and check out stunning nature and the worlds second longest wooden bridge.
- Food
You can’t talk about visiting Thailand without talking about the food. No matter if you want to take a cooking class, eat in established Thai restaurants, or frequent some of the fine street vendors the country has to offer, you’ll eat very well in Thailand
